Good Bye Kitty

Our Guinea pig died this evening while I was gone visiting teaching. His name was Kitty. ( Thats what my class named him) I am so sad. Really though. I actually picked him out at the pet store myself. I liked him because he was so cuddly while all the other squealed and clawed. I really liked him. He was our only pet, and I enjoyed him as much as my preschool class. SERIOUSLY, I am sad.

I guess Mykelle stepped on him. I don't know if I believe her though since she was throwing him up in the air earlier today. Poor little guy. I was just telling her she was going to kill him.

I am upset with Seth too. He just put him in the garbage can. I guess what else is he suppossed to do. I wouldn't really want him barried in my backyard. Hhmmpphh. I'll go pout now.

St. Patty's Fun

St. Patty's Day

Emily and I got together for St. Patty's day so the kids could have a little party. I would get together for any occasion just to have a party. Emily and I always have fun together. I was tired though and wanted to take a nap on her couch while the kids were being so good, but she wouldn't let me. We did watch a Baby Story though! Man, I can't wait to have another baby. I like that show too. ( I think they need new ones though. I have watched all of them so many times.) When I watch it, it makes me want to have my baby Natural ( Water birth I should say) I just want to say I did it, but then I remember the pain, and I say screw that! Anyways, back on track here, The kids made cupcakes which we always think they will have so much fun decorating. That particular day, they were having too much fun and didn't want to stop to decorate them. So, me and Emily did. I love making cupcakes, so it was fine with me! We also ate like 5 each! Probably why I feel like I have more JUNK IN THE TRUNK than usual. Ha ha. Ohh well.... I like BIG butts and I cannot lie!

Randi and Mykelle were too busy playing to take a picture! They all have so much fun together. It is so cute. When Mindy moves back, and Jess has kids, we are going to have to rent out a place for get together! There are too many of us! I love it!

Might I say this is PERMANENT marker and we had church the next day. He did this when I was helping Seth with the tile in the bathroom. ( Yes, we are finally remodeling) He is so cute though! Pretending to be a guinea pig. Silly boy.

Disney on Ice

Disney on Ice is always a BLAST! Holly invited us this year, and they did Peter Pan as one of their skits and it was so cute!! For those of you that don't know, Mykelle LOVES Pirates and Peter Pan is one of her favorite movies. I love un-animated version. It is darling. We had a girls date, and took the girls to our favorite place (ZUPAS) (Mmmm...Delicious Tomato Basil Soup with Orzo pasta) It a FUN evening!

::Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce::

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

1/2 cup butter
1 8 ounce package cream cheese
2 teaspoons garlic powder ( I used some garlic salt)
2 Cups milk
6 ounces grated Parmesean cheese
1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Melt butter on medium. Add cream cheese( My was room temp) and garlic powder, stirring with a whisk until smooth.
Add milk a little at a time, whisking to smooth out lumps. STIR ( Do not whisk) in your parmesean cheese and pepper. Remove from heat when sauce reaches desired consistency. (Sauce thickens rapidly, so take it off when it is a little thin) Thin with milk if it gets too thick. Toss with hot pasta!

THIS IS DELICIOUS! (and I am picky about alfredo sauce.)

Authentic Italian Spahgetti Sauce

1 28 ounce can stewed tomatoes
1 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes
1 pound sage sausage
2 yellow onions
2 green bell peppers
5 cloves garlic chopped
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 tablespoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 cup fresh parsley
2 Bay leaves
Salt and pepper to taste

Blend the stewed tomatoes and crushed tomatoes in a blender. In a stock pot or large kettle, brown the sausage with the onions, peppers and garlic. Pour in tomatoes, and reduce heat. Add sugar, basil,bay leaves, and oregano. Simmer about 40 minutes.

Remove Bay leaves and season with salt and pepper before serving!

* The recipe actually calls for hamburger, but I don't like hamburger that much, so I used sage sausage and it was sooooo good. It seemed like alot of onion and stuff, but it wasn't at all. Everyone I had over for Spahgetti raved about the sauce. I also used it to make Manicotti and Lasagna. Yummy!

Boys II Men

Me and some of our good friends headed to Wendover on Saturday afternoon to see Boys II Men! We had a BLAST! Seth did not want to go since he had just returned from Wendover for work, so he stayed home. ( I came home to a pouting young man who wished he would have gone once he heard about all the fun!) The concert itself was really short, but it was good! They are talented. After the concert, we then went to the Rainbow so Aimee and Chris could play the penny slots. I sat at the bar to watch the live band. They were called Showtime. They were so much fun! They did covers of lots songs that you can dance to. They also interacted with the crowd which made it lots of fun! I literally danced all night! We realized it was 3 in the morning so we headed back to our hotel! It was so much fun though. Chris ended up being our Body guard all night to keep all the dirt bags away! He was good to us! We hit a breakfast buffet in the morning and it was really good! To sum things up, it was a BLAST! I only wish Seth could have been there!

St. George Weekend

My parents took all of us to St. George to stay in their time share at the end of February. It was such a good time, and I ate a lot of freakin' ice cream at Neilson Frozen Custard. OMG, it is so good! Mykelle and her favorite Uncle Dave, getting ready to go swimming.

Our Anniversary

Seth was great this year on our anniversary. Usually, I plan everything, but this year he said he took care of it!I do have to say though, I was bummed that he didn't call me all day to wish me a Happy Anniversary.( He was in Wendover) Which initially I thought he was busy at his meetings all day and didn't have service, but then he came home and said " I just didn't think about it! " What a romantic huh? I was just happy he planned a date for us! I had to UN-bad mood myself before going out. He found a babysitter (Thanks Candice. The kids love you! You are the best.) Then he took me to one of our favorite restaurants Cafe Trang's. Unfortunately, the food was not the best that night. We then were going to go to dessert, and a movie but he didn't feel good at all. ( He was getting over a head cold ) I told him it was fine to just go home. We had a good time together, and he looked super sexy, and smelled so good.! We just went home after dinner......Well, after talking to Candice about our AWESOME present to each other to celebrate 4 years together. We are going to .........

ROATAN, HONDURAS

Candice is actually the one who told us about how amazing it was, so we looked into it and it was an easy decision. Price wise=Prefect. Vacation wise=Perfect. We are so ecstatic to go!

Breathtaking! I can wait to just lay in the hot, hot sun, and take a nap!

I DON'T want to see these though. I wish I liked iguanas, I just don't. Naomi tortured me and Jessica with hers growing up! ( She once chased Jessica around the house, where Jessica finally hid in the bathroom. But what did Naomi do? Stuck her iguana under the bathroom door so it could attack us! I've never seen anyone freak out the way Jess did that day. Scary, and Hilarious!

We are going to swim with the dolphins. Hopefully.

This is a tricky quote and a delicate concept. By no means should we ignore our children and/or the things they do that need to be addressed. But we could benefit, in my opinion, from learning to ignore some aspects of their behavior that simply aren’t worth our attention. Like their room, for instance.

Every seminar I give, every town I visit, this question arises. “What do I do about my child’s messy room?” And at every seminar and in every town, my answer is the same. You close the door and ignore it. It is their room, after all. About once a month, insist that it be cleaned of all bio hazardous material, but other than that – ignore the piles of clothes and the wads of paper. It just isn’t worth it. You can teach them self respect in a number of other ways. You can teach them cleanliness and order when they clean the common areas of the house. But you’ll save yourself a lot of stress if you can just shut the door and learn to ignore (at least some of) the mess that comes along with kids.

This is one thing Hal was asked alot about when we went to his Seminar. It makes so much sense, but I just can't do it. I know I am a clean freak, but I tried. I just can't. A few things on the floor is okay, but not a huge mess!

My Wedding

My Anniversary. (More to come on our Anniversary Celebration. Brace yourself for naughty pictures. Joke.)
Pretty much our only picture alone on our wedding. For all that didn't know, we were just supposed to get married in the bishop's office and fly to Vegas immediately after (Our way of eloping) but, my mom, SIL Candice, and Jess threw me a Surprise party after. It was alot of fun, and perfect because I didn't have to do anything (which is why I didn't want a wedding.) I do wish I had someone come in and take pictures though. Dave couldn't be everywhere. It was a great day though, and our honey moon was the best!

Mykelle was 9 months old when we were married. We were rebels. :) We didn't want to get married because we had a baby, we wanted to make sure it was the right thing all the way around.

My best friend Jess would have been my maid of honor if I had one. She was so helpful and sweet, like always. She gave me a bouquet of flowers as well as Seth.

The Bachelor

or bastard I should say. ( Word used by Melissa) This show and I have a love hate relationship! I hate it but I love it. It's so set up and unrealistic, but I still like to watch it! Last night at the final result show, I couldn't help but be disappointed. My friend Ailee had called it and she was dead on. He does seem like a really great catch, and a really good father. Seth totally watched the whole 3 hours with me, and would kill me if I told the blogging world that! He thinks Jason is lame, and found the ending weird and set-up. I agree.

My favorite was always Melissa. I liked Molly too, but Melissa seemed perfect from the beginning. A little annoying, but sweet. The show had to be set up, because How could he do that to her on TV like that. If he loved her, he wouldn't have borke up with her that way. I was sad for her. Whether the show was set up or not! I would like to say I won't watch the show anymore, but I will. I'm sure.
