How it came to be...

So, one night Seth and I were feeling a little frisky, so we decided to.......

Just Kidding.

Really though, this is the story.

I was waiting for our Insurance to change so that my IUD would be covered and we didn't have to pay anything out of pocket.

I hate taking BC pills and I always forget, and blah, blah, blah. So yeah, there you have it. We weren't using any form of BC.

I hadn't had my period yet, and knew I should start at any time because my last period was a while before Thanksgiving. Me and my little sister are on the same cycle, so I asked her, and she said anytime probably. So I knew it was going to come any time. A few days passed, and half kidding I told my SIL that I was probably pregnant. I really didn't think I was. Remember my Confession here? I'm always paranoid about getting pregnant.

So after the weekend passed with no period, I thought, welp, I better make my trip to the dollar store and buy a few pregnancy tests.

I ran a few errands, and before I picked up the kids to School and headed to the gym, I decided to put my mind at ease and just take one so I would know I wasn't.

I POAS and saw that it was one line after a few minutes. Washed my hands, and was about to throw the test away after a 2nd glance, but I thought I saw something. I did. A SECOND LINE.

"What the?" is what I think I said out loud, but I was totally smiling.

I looked at myself in the mirror (still smiling) and said "Shut up!"

I had to come back to reality though, because it was time to pick up kids from school. I threw the test box away and hid it under some toilet paper. Then I hid the test in my drawer. There was no way I was going to tell Seth yet. He was going to freak.

I went to the gym, and was in a great mood. Was I really pregnant? There was no way.

On the way home from the gym, I was in a panic. I was pregnant! Although it was rather exciting, I didn't want to stress out my husband! We were still paying off Swayzee's birth. It costs us so much to have a baby because we are self employed.

I decided to call my BF Jessica and tell her first. I told her I had to tell her something, and to Guess. She guessed it on her first try. she was ecstatic which made me excited, but I was scared to tell Seth. I told her I wasn't going to tell him for awhile, but that I knew I should.

I had to let her go so I could take another test. Sure enough, it was positive. I took another one as soon as I could pee again. It was positive too.

Baby #4.

Holy Crap.

Seth called me about something, and when he was talking to me, he asked" What?"

"What do you mean, What?" I answered.

"You're acting funny" he said.

"Ohhhh, I'll tell you later!" I responded laughing.

When he came home, I had to tell him. I waited until the kids were in bed, and just showed him the test.

He started laughing and he said he knew it.

(Phew. Wipe sweat from forehead.)

He then made this face.

Jokingly.

I told him I told Jessica first, but he didn't care at all.

For the next few days while we waited to tell our family, this is the face he would make behind their backs. It was really funny.

Anyways, about an hour after I told him, he went from "This is fine", to "This is was your fault because you weren't on BC!" I then informed him of how I got pregnant in the first place, and he shut up. Lol.

We have both been happy about it since.

Seth really wants a boy. He says this is for sure our last baby. I think a boy would be great too, but a girl would be so fun since they will be so close. So, either way. We are golden!

And, since we are on the subject of Sex (he, he) Lets talk.

The Poll Results were as follows:

41% said 1-2 times a month

41% said 1-2 times a week

29% said 3-4 times a week

16% said 4 -5 times a week

12% said other

So, someone(s) voted for more than one answer which made this tricky. Either way, here are some interesting "facts" I came across.

(1 Corinthians ) "Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. 3Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. 4The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. 5Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control."

The feminist in me wants to say I'll do whatever I want with my body!

This one cracks me up!! This cannot be real!

from age --- to 30 = 6 time a day

from age 30 to 35 =2time a day

from age 35 to 40= 1 time a day

from age 40 to 45= 3 time a week

from age 45 to 50= 2 time a week

from age 50 to 60= 1 a week

from age 60 to 70= 3 a month

from age 70 to 80= 3 a year

from age 80 to 90 = 1 a year

Reason why a marriage may become sexless

1. After a child is born into a family there is a period of about three months when the adjustment may take place, after that time if couples do not resume back to having sexual intimacy, it may develop into a sexless marriage.

2. Health related issues, hormones for women, pregnancy, perimenopause, menopause, and other health related issues. For a man he could have prostate problem, erectile dysfunction, depression, anxiety, and obsessive compulsive disorder.

3. Unresolved anger from a spouse, the woman is angry with her husband and does not feel sexual towards him and turns him away, and eventfully he gives up trying to be intimate with her.

4. Loss of interest in spouse due to excess weight gain, controlling spouse, nagging, winning, anger issues, loss of sexual desire and continual yelling.

5. A woman no longer see's her husband as being masculine, and loses her sexual desire for him, she wants him to not be intimated by her and to initate the sex in the marriage and desire her and date her again.

6. A man feels as though his wife is to controlling, she puts him down, does not appreciate him and has pushed him a way one too many times and now he is thinking about having an affair.

7. The married couple has become roommates, barely communicating with one another, living a life of being with each other for the sake of the children, loss of desire and passion for one another.

These are the top 7 reasons why a couple will fall into a sexless marriage, there are other reasons but these are the most common.

You gotta love Cosmo

What would you change about your sex life?

34% said I'd like to have sex more often

22% said I'd like sex to be more adventurous

20% replied with nothing

20% said I'd like to have more orgasms

3% said I'd like my partner to be less selfish

1% said I'd like to have sex less often

I found this interesting. I came across a whole page about Muslims. I read a lot about it because it was intriguing to me.

The Prohibition of Sex When She is Menstruating

It is forbidden for a Muslim man to have sexual intercourse with his wife when she is menstruating. The Quran is clear on this subject:

"They ask you concerning menstruation. Say: that is an Adha (a harmful thing for a husband to have a sexual intercourse with his wife while she is having her menses), therefore keep away from women during menses and go not unto them till they have purified (from menses and have taken a bath). And when they have purified themselves, then go in unto them as Allah has ordained for you (go in unto them in
any manner as long as it is in their vagina)…" (Al-Baqarah 2:222)

Christmas Fun

Ugly Sweater party @ my Aunt Leslie's House.

Seth was in charge of pictures on Christmas day, so they aren't the best. (Sorry babe)

Trey and some of his presents!

Mykelle and some of her presents!

She was so excited about this elephant!

Swayzee loved climbing all over the presents.

We papered off the doorway for the kids to jump through on Christmas morning! they LOVED it. My parents always did that for us on Christmas morning, because we always got up in the middle of the night and peeked at the presents.

The kids left out some home made oreos for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. We also left out some root beer this year.

Christmas Eve Pjs.

Mom, Jeff, and Naomi

All my cousins the day before Grandma's funeral.

The month of December, this little girl did so many new things! She has been crawling for about 2 months, but now she climbs up stairs, and she is standing up tp everything. She pushes things that can move, and walks along with them. This little 8 month old is going to be walking early I bet. We'll see. She also loves standing in her crib and jumping (bouncing) She really looks like Mykelle's little twin.

She is the best!

Grandma Mary

(Grandma Mary and Mykelle 2004)

This is my Grandma Mary.

She was a pretty awesome woman.

We lived with her once. (That is when the above picture took place) She was so nice enough to let us stay with her when times were tough when Seth started his business.

She had the most annoying dog, Kia. Everyone hated Kia. All she did was bark. Kia loved my Grandma. And Mykelle. When we moved in with my Grandma, Mykelle was about 5 months old. Mykelle's 2nd and 3rd words were "No, no Kia" Because we always told Kia "No, No" when she would bark at us as we walked in.

Kia was so protective over my Grandma. It was her only companion for a long time.

Grandma Mary loved having Mykelle around, and always asked to see her "Baby girl" Mykelle loved going into her room, and seeing her.

She loved kids! She loved having them around! My kids loved her!

Grandma was really going down hill that last year and a half, and ended up getting put in assisted living. Seth and I always talked about how we needed to go visit her more often, but an hour away just wasn't that convenient all the time.

A week before she passed away, I made a promise to my aunt that I would come visit her once a month as a goal for the new year. She was on my mind so much that week. I kept thinking I really need to see her. I would soon understand why.

My aunt then posted on facebook saying she had fallen and broke her ankle. She kept us all informed on what was going on with her, then she posted that she had aspirated, and got pneumonia. I knew how serious this was for someone with her health, so we all prayed for her.

Thursday night before she passed away, we got a call saying that she wasn't breathing on her own, and they didn't know if she would make it. My sister and I were heartbroken, but I was immediately comforted knowing that whatever happened would be right.

Friday after preschool we all (grand kids, and aunts and uncles) headed to the hospital to see her. It was the most touching and heartbreaking time. She didn't look well, and couldn't speak well, but we knew she knew we were all there. She was looking into our eyes. When I sat Swayzee next to her, she was so happy. She mumbled" She's beautiful. She's getting so big!" Later on she said" She looks just like her sister!"

Mykelle was so sad. Tears just started running down her face, and she didn't want to be there.

I have to say, it was so hard to see her suffering. I think we all wanted her to be better. To feel better. Swayzee kept wanting to climb on my grandma and touch her, and pull of her oxygen mask. Grandma was happy though.

We sang her a few songs. ( I barely sang, because I can't cry and sing at the same time)

We all sat and talked around her, and I think she enjoyed us all being present. We then said goodbye. We kissed her, and told her we loved her. She told us she loved us back quietly.

After we all left, her oxygen dropped dramatically.

About an hour later, just as we were arriving home, my aunt texted me saying that she was going to pass away at any time.

I was devastated even though I knew it was coming. I fell to my knees, and sobbed like I never have before. I knew it was going to happen. I knew it. I called Seth and told him on my way home that I didn't think she would make it. Just hearing it was so hard. I think it was because I felt like she had waited until we all got to say goodbye, and I was sad for my aunts and my dad for losing their mother.

The memories of her were flooding my brain, and I was overtaken with sorrow for about 5 minutes. My kids were sad, and confused a little. Mykelle is so tender, and was crying because she didn't want her Grandma (my mom) to die.

Trey kept kissing me and saying it's going to be okay mommy.

Mykelle then started saying "take deep breaths mom, take deep breaths" (Its kind of funny and cute now)

After the 5 minutes were up, I was OK.

A little while later, she died, and returned to Heaven.

I KNEW she was happy and not suffering anymore. That she was finally not suffering from something. Whether it be cancer, depression, pain, or whatever! She was no longer suffering!

My memories of her are so great! We spent so many summers and trips at her house, and they are the best memories of my childhood.

In my Grandma's obituary, I wrote that "I knew she would be kissing and hugging my future babies in heaven!"

The next day, I found out that I was pregnant.

I know that's exactly what she is doing.

God be with 'til we meet again!

Sugar and Spice

Confession

I feel like I have gossiped too much these past couple months. Not neccesarily bad things, and not really intentionally either, but I feel so ugly when I do it. I do not think this is a very good quality to possess.

My grandma just past away, and I feel it important to dedicate a post to her, although our scanner isn't working, and I have a very special picture I want to post.

AND, to my very dear sweet friend that sent me flowers, you know who you are, you are such a doll. I'm so glad you are one of my closest friends, too!

Thank you to the many people that have offered to take care of our kids, or offered to help with anything, you are all the best!

I also have Poll results, with an "exciting' post to go along with it! Sorry, after this week, I may have time.

Take Care

Friends

I love you girls so much!

Saturday night we got together with friends and had dinner {home made spahgetti that everyone is requesting} and let the kids run wild while we played games. It was a BLAST! We had such a great time, and laughed a lot!

Good Memories!

Laffy the Duck will never be forgotten!

What's so funny, Seth?

You just had to be there!

I'll explain this one a little. Trey was trying to protect me because I was laughing so hard I was crying, and Seth was trying to attack me, so Trey wasn't very happy with him. I was about to break out my wrestling moves.

Sorry Jessica. I'm sure this was the picture you were talking about!

The memory of this is too funny! I think Ryan was a little uncomfortable hearing those words come out of your mouth.

{Look at this picture closely. We have a little bit of everything going on in it. Baby bottles, Cherry coke (my off day) cake and ice cream, ear muffs, the unicorn I painted (another inside joke), etc. etc.}

Addy. What a smiley baby! She is a doll. Her and Swayzee are a little over a week apart.

Friends
More Friends

Painting nails, and putting on make-up!

Ky and Mykelle get along so great! It's so nice to have friends that have kids the exact same age.

Hallelujah Food Court flash Mob-MUST SEE

'Twas the night before Jesus came

'Twas the night before Jesus came and all through the house

Not a creature was praying, not one in the house.

Their Bibles were lain on the shelf without care

In hopes that Jesus would not come there.

The children were dressing to crawl into bed.

Not once ever kneeling or bowing a head.

And Mom in her rocker with baby on her lap

Was watching the Late Show while I took a nap.

When out of the East there arose such a clatter

I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter.

Away to the window I flew like a flash,

Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash!

When what to my wondering eyes should appear

But angels proclaiming that Jesus was here.

With a light like the sun sending forth a bright ray

I knew in a moment this must be THE DAY!

The light of His face made me cover my head

It was Jesus! returning just like He had said.

And though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth,

I cried when I saw Him in spite of myself.

In the Book of Life which He held in His hand

Was written the name of every saved man.

He spoke not a word as He searched for my name;

When He said "it's not here" my head hung in shame.

The people whose names had been written with love

He gathered to take to His Father above.

With those who were ready He rose without a sound.

While all the rest were left standing around.

I fell to my knees, but it was too late;

I had waited too long and thus sealed my fate.

I stood and I cried as they rose out of sight;

Oh, if only I had been ready tonight.

In the words of this poem the meaning is clear;

The coming of Jesus is drawing near.

There's only one life and when comes the last call

We'll find that the Bible was true after all!

24 days of Christmas {LDS Devotionals}

Such a great idea for the month. A friend from church shared this, and my sister in law created the cutest gift for all her neighbors. I'm getting mine binded to use each year. I printed it on pretty cardstock, and it looks awesome. Go HERE to print one for yourself. (I can't firgure out how to attach an adobe file, so if someone knows how, let me know! If you want a copy, leave me your email, and I'll email it to you)

I'm going to add one thing I really dis-love. (Is that even a word?) That one thing is protein drinks. My life consists of them right now, and I don't care what anyone says, I think they are disgusting. I have to plug my nose, and drink it as possible, and hurry and eat a banana right after. The benefits of protein defiantly outweigh the taste, so that is why I torture myself everyday.

You've had a Birthday

YOU'VE HAD A BIRTHDAY SHOUT HOORAY
WE WANT TO SING TO YOU TODAY
ONE YEAR OLDER AND WISER TOO!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

Lover boy celebrated 31 years on Thanksgiving day. He is studly.

At night, he likes to watch boring shows on the science channel, and I read next to him in bed. I like it. We bond, although sometimes his shows distract me.

We also practice wrestling moves. (Really though.) I'm getting good. I learned this cool move where I jump in the air, and land on him while driving my elbow in his thigh. He has a bruise. I'm getting good.

He drives me crazy sometimes, but he also makes me laugh so much. Like, more than anyone does.

Sometimes I'm bossy. ( I LOVE the song "Cause I'm bossy") He secretly likes it though. (Really, he told me)

I love smelling his face after he shaves. It smells so good!

When he wears cologne, I always want to hug him. and stuff.

He would do anything for me. (and his family) Even if that is getting me hot tamales out of the hidden drawer in the kitchen so I don't have to get out of bed!

He's pretty much one of my favorite people.

Happy Birthday Lover Boy!

31 years. That's Hot.

Each year gets better.
