Mykelle started 2nd grade in.... ahem ...August. The night before school started, we had a special little party for her like we've done every year. Instead of her favorite foods though, we had strawberry shortcake. It was so yummy. (If you haven't tried it the Crackle Barrel way, eat it with ice cream and homemade strawberry syrup.)
We gave her a few little presents for school (Notebooks, colored pens etc) She loves writing! She fills up a notebook writing letters and stuff each week!
We then made up a whole bunch of songs about Mykelle and why she was so cool. It was fun! Trey broke out in a solo about his sister and how much he loved her. It was priceless.

Since this picture, she has lost her 2 bottom teeth, and her two front teeth are loose. We better hurry with those family pictures! :)
She is doing great in Reading, and loving her friends she has made! She seems to enjoy her teacher as well.

she stands just like you do for photos. i need training. remind me to ask her to show me the tricks of the trade so i can stop looking so awkward in all my photos!

Wow she is getting so big. I can't even believe it. She is amazing, you have done an amazing job. That is a very cute family tradition. I love Trey and his solo what a sweet little bro.
