MYKELLE IS FIVE

We had Mykelle's birthday Party with the family the day after her birthday! We were suppossed to have it at the park, but we had it at our " Construction site" since it was raining. It was a BLAST though.
Being shy when we were singing to her! Weird, I know! She is NEVER shy!

Birthday Morning! Daddy made us breakfast, and we decorated the whole kitchen with balloons, and gave her her bike! What do you think she liked best? He sticker book. Man, we always forget how easy kids can be!

Princess Tea Party

Having a girl is so much fun! In May sometime, we had a Princess Tea party. The girls got to wear their nice dresses[ My girls all picked their dress up clothes to wear] I "served" them, and boy were they bossy. On the menu was "Peach" shortcake, tea, [ Sugar milk. Exactly what it says. I loved sugar milk when I was a kid. My kids love it too!] They each got to bring a stuffed animal, and each stuffed animal had it's own tea set as well. The girls danced and had so much fun! They love their friend Addi, so we invited her over for the party as well!

We're back.....

BUT.....

When we got back, our house was not done like we had planned, so we are staying with Mike and Jackie [THANKS!] I have tons of pictures to post when we finally get back in our house!

So, about my flight on the way to Florida.... Do you remember me saying that I didn't want to fly alone because everything will go wrong? Well, Mykelle and I got on our plane at 7:00am the morning we left.

We arrived in Houston at 10, and were suppossed to get on our flightto Orlando at 1:00pm BUT, they overbooked the flight by THIRTY FIVE people. They were removing everyone from rows 33 and up. We were 35.

So, I sit back and wait to hear what the plan is. I'm calm. I just want to know what to do next. After one hour, people are getting pissed, there are two more flights leaving that day, but they are all full. They are trying to pay people to volunteer for the flight the next morning offering hotel and money. I don't want to volunteer. I want to go be with Seth.

2 hours later, I go get in line with everyone else because they are clearly not doing anything about it. I kept telling myself... don't cry, it's not a big deal if you get stuck here all night. FOR 10 hours.

Then, I see the lady in front on me bawling because she is going to miss her sister's wedding that she hasn't seen in two years... blah. blah. blah. Sad story, but she looks like an idiot and is being hysterical. I will not cry. I don't want to look like that lady. 1 hour later, it is my turn in line,

[Mykelle in the mean time, has made friends with two little girls, and they are all coloring in her coloring books. She is such an angel, and being SO GOOD. Thanks baby girl]

So, the lady says I can either fly out tomorrow morning [They'll pay my hotel], or at 9:30pm that night. I take 9:30pm. I'm still calm after seeing everyone else freak out. She gives me 40 dollars for lunch and dinner, and puts me on stand by for 3:45pm. [Along with almost all the other people that didn't get on the flight] She was really nice, and helpful.

She then decides to give me 1,000 dollars towards another flight with Continental. I''m excited. That makes it better. I'm in pretty good spirits, I almost didn't go to the flight for standby. There was no way I was going to get on that flight. I go anyway. I wait. They don't call our names. I almost walk away, and they call us!!! How did we get on? Who knows, but it was such a sweet deal in the long run. I made it to Orlando only 3 hours later than planned! Honduras here we come!!!!


I have something else to tell you.....

Close your eyes, and imagine this....


Your on an airplane headed from Orlando to Houston. You get there, everything is good. Your ready to be in your own home after a busy vacation.

Oh wait. Flight delayed. 2 1/2 Hours.

Fine, you'll play with your daughter and entertain ALL the kids waiting to get on this flight.

Since your flight is delayed, it is cutting REALLY close to your connecting flight to Salt Lake.

It will be fine. You will have 10 minutes to get to that flight once you land in Houston.

Finally, you get on your airplane to Houston. Really nice plane, pretty good meal. "Confessions of a Shopaholic" is on. Your daughter made friends with a little girl while waiting to get on the plane and she sits right by her. They talk the whole flight! This is awesome! AND you get a kit kat bar with your meal! BONUS!

Flight lands in Houston! You sprint to the plane. You have to pee REALLY bad. You feel like you pee your pants a little. You look down..... IT'S BLOOD! HOLY CRAP. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! It's not a little blood.... It's A LOT!!! DOWN YOUR LEGS!!! FRONT AND BACK!!! EVERYONE THAT LOOKS CAN SEE!

This cannot be happening , you are not suppossed to start your period for another week! No extra clothes, no tampons, flight leaves in 5 minutes! SHIT!

What are you going to do?? Really, what would you do?

Our Last Night in Florida.....

So our trip here has been a BLAST!!!!! WE have been everywhere here in Florida! We have spent a lot more money that planned, but it has all been worth it! The kids of course have been AWESOME!!! I have taken quite a few pictures as well.....

Here is what we have been up to! [I am doing this for my documenting/scrap booking memory as well! I already can't remember anything]

Thursday: My flight was a DISASTER, but it turned out AWESOME in the end! It looks I'll going to Honduras this summer after all! [ That story to come]

Arrived at 7:30 pm got some food and headed to the hotel

Friday: We spent the day at Seaworld! It was so much fun! It is my absolute favorite!! I love it there! We are going back tomorrow! I love Dolphins, and the shows are our favorite! I have the cutest pictures from all the places!

Saturday: We went to Daytona Beach! It was pretty fun! I have to say though, I hate the salty water. The kids played in the sand the whole time while Seth and I played with the football! I also almost stepped on a crab, I hated the water after that.

That night we went to Universal Studios and saw UP in their 3D theater. It was the cutest movie ever! I even cried. GO SEE IT! It's so good!

Sunday: we went to church....JK. We did say our prayers though. We spent the day at AQUATICA. We had so much fun there, and the Dolphin water slide was not that cool. The kids water park/Playground was so much fun! We spent most of our time there, and it was so enjoyable! Trey whined about the water a lot, because he hates when it gets in his eyes. The whole playground is full of water fountains, tipping buckets, and squirt machines. I love squirting people in the face. So hilarious! We floated down the lazy river a couple times, and then the day was pretty much over! We were toasted! We went back to the hotel showered, and then went to this place called "The Fun Spot". Defiantly fun for the kids! The loved it! They didn't have to wait in lines, and all the rides were for them. I was so tired! The kids did NOT want to leave!

Monday: [Today] We spent the day at "Gator Land" it was very interesting and enjoyable! The kids enjoyed that as well! I hate alligators even more! Seriously. The are HUGE, scary, and after talking to all the locals, I no longer want to live here!!!

Seth says: Those are some "BIG ASS" alligators. He is such a wuss. He wouldn't sit on one for a picture!

The guys that wrestle the gators are pretty cute I might say!

Now, we are going to a restaurant called "Fish on Fire", and taking the kids to "The World's coolest Mcdonalds playland" voted #1 from the travel channel! We'll see about that!

After all that fun, we are going to take them swimming again tonight.

Tomorrow: Going back to Seaworld! I can't wait! WE fly home tomorrow evening! :( Its been fun, but we are excited to see our finished home! The painted, and put up crown molding while we were gone! YAY! My home is some what put back together!

With the new look of our home, I have an itch to add some new Decor to our house. I am looking for all kinds of stuff, but I don't like to buy REALLY expensive stuff. If you know of some good places with good prices, PLEASE let me know!

My husband is pretty much amazing! He has been working so hard on our house, and he is so exhausted. He keeps going and going though! Thank goodness for his brother Brandon who has willingly helped Seth each weekend! We really appreciate him so much! Our house is starting to Look AWESOME! I love it! I can't wait to clean it! Ha. Ha. The walls will be painted when we are in Florida, and we will finish the cabinets this summer. I'll post more pictures when it is all finished!

I have to complain about just one more thing. I never thought I would say this, but I AM SO SICK OF EATING OUT. Since we don't have a kitchen, we eat out for 2 meals a day. It sucks. Food isn't really appetizing anymore. I eat to make the growling go away.

As for my bad day. It passed. My mom took me to this awesome store called Home Goods, and I got a piece of metal art for the bathroom! It made me feel all better. Also, Arby's shakes always make me feel better. They are so yummy. At times when I feel frustrated like that, I have to sit back and realize all the important things. I am so blessed, and kids will be kids! In reality though, it won't be the last day I feel like I was the worst mom, and it isn't the first either.

Losing my mind

Today has been a bad day. I'm grumpy. The kids are driving me CRAZY! I've yelled too much. My house is literally a disaster! Everything is getting to me! I didn't make it to the gym because I was up all night cleaning our dust filled house. I hate not going to the gym.

Does anyone else ever have days when they feel like they have been the worst mom??

Normally I am so patient, but today has been too much. I knew the house tore apart would be a mess, but OH MY GOSH! I can't stand it! My feet are dirty. My hands are dry. We can only stay in three rooms of our house.

I am just thankful my mom is coming over in twenty minutes. I need to get out of this house!

P.S.S. Our tile is almost done, and we got our walls textured last night! They are sanding the walls as we speak. I'm sitting behind a closed door while they speak spanish. I wish I knew it better. I am ALWAYS curious what they are talking about. It kind of drives me crazy!

I have this Brother

HIS NAME IS DAVE

(Or David. Which ever you prefer.)

He is a good brother. Mykelle has been attached to him since the day she was born. All of you that were there remember the day she was born. Remember he stood over my bed eating my huge bowl of caramel popcorn (One of my obsessions while being pregnant) And staring at her? I also remember a certain person bawling when she was born. Although the experience might have been disgusting, it was beautiful. Mykelle still loves him so much to this day, and says David is her favorite "Uncle Dave" David, you are a really good uncle. You are going to be such a good dad some day.

Dave is also married to a pretty awesome girl named Candice. She is also a great aunt to my kids and we love her so much! My kids think she is the best because she doesn't ever tell them no, and she spoils them to pieces! She too will be a great mother!

Dave and I lived together when I first moved to SLC from Grand Junction after High School. I was pretty depressed when I moved here leaving all my friends and boyfriend at the time behind! Dave would do so many things to cheer me up, and he always tried to make me laugh! I remember on nights when we would be going to get some food, he would drive down redwood road as slow as possible just so I would yell at him to go faster until I started laughing so hard because he WOULD NOT go faster. Everyone would be honking and yelling at us. It is a great memory.

He would also pretend to be handicapped in public which was so embarrassing, but really, really funny! He did this so many times! Not just with me, but with everyone! David has a more serious side now, so it is fun to remember all these things about him now.

David would invite me to hang out with his friends which he soon hated because he didn't like his friends flirting with me. Or me with them. Once he yelled at me and told me I was wearing "Slut Pants" because they were tight. (Workout pants) I was not "allowed" to hang out with his friends unless I changed.

He was always really protective which leads to this next story. One night Dave and I were hanging out and I told him I was going to go out with this guy. ( Which was Seth) He already didn't like Seth because he was older than me, my brothers age, and drove a nice car. He made fun of Seth (Behind his back) all the time. He said Seth was a pretty boy that liked to wear turtle necks. (Which is also why he stated that in the post below about Seth) It has been a joke between us the last 6 years. Anyway, back on track...I ended up staying out all night with Seth, and I stayed the night at his house because I didn't want to fall asleep driving home. (I have before) So, the next morning Seth made me breakfast and we were eating when Seth's home phone rings.

"Weird,no one ever calls here!" Seth said

Seth answers. Has a worried look on his face and hands me the phone.

It is my brother! Telling me to get my butt home, that he is going to kick Seth's butt, and that I should have come home last night!

Scared (Although he is not my parent) I hurry home!

Seth just laughed.

I don't ever remember being really close with David until I moved back to SLC, although when he left on his mission I missed him like crazy. My journal was full of two years crying, wishing he would come home. That is when I knew what a great brother he was. Someone we are really lucky to have as part of our family! He has always been a rock in our family, and for that I am grateful.

We have done so many fun things together!

David has always had my best interest at heart, and I want him to know I appreciate it so much! You are a great Big Brother and I love you! Yes, I could call and tell you, but why not post it on my blog for the world to see?

P.S. I also have some emails from you in 2002 when we lived with each other. I wouldn't want to show the world your soft side, so I'll post this one. Although it may not sound sweet. Coming from David, it meant a lot.

Seth is such a wonderful man! He is hard working, loving, caring, supportive, respectful and kind to everyone. He is non-judgemental, and really cares about others. He is a real man. Any girl would be so Lucky to have him. I'm so glad he is mine.Our kids just adore him, and he is such a good dad! He has been working so hard on our house, and I appreciate it so much! Thanks babe! Damn Maid

So, I was updating my status on facebook when Seth came into our bedroom and said our house was a mess.

"Well, you know what you can do about it!" I said with some sass!

"Get up and clean the house!" He answered ( Don't you worry, if he was serious, I would kick him in the face ;)

He then went on about all the things that needed to be done

( Let me remind you we are in the middle of remodeling)

I shouted jokingly "I'm not the damn maid around here!"

Trey mimicked "I'm not the damn maid around here!"

I laughed so hard! I guess I better watch my mouth.

Chic Boutique

Things have changed

This is the Sea world Water Park, Aquatica. This water slide goes down into the water by the whales. I think its going to be sweet! I might panic though and feel claustrophobic. We'll see.

Remember when I told you guys about this? Well, things have changed! We are now going to ......... FLORIDA! It doesn't even compare to Roatan, but we decided we had better take a family vacation before we have another baby, because then it gets REALLY pricey. So now, we will be going to Aquatica, Sea world, Daytona Beach, and Coco Beach instead. It will have to do for now. I still want to go to the Dominican or Roatan. We have to fly separately ( I will take Mykelle, and Seth will take Trey) It is going to be so scary. I have never flown by myself. I know what your thinking..... Don't be such a baby. I'm still scared.

Remodeling is going well! I'll post pictures soon! It's messy, but worth it!

P.S. I have no motivation to study. None at all. I wouldn't recommend to do school at your own pace to anyone!

Life is Busy

From Our Girl's Night Last weekend.

I have been so busy, and haven't had time to post, so I thought I would drop a line. Easter weekend has been really good! We love getting together with family and friends! The true meaning of Easter is really important, and Mykelle was so cute talking about Christ's Resurrection. She is such a sweet little girl. She cares so much about Jesus. She always asks why anyone would want to hurt Jesus! She is so caring of everyone.

I have started school again. I can't wait to do more Personal Training, but I hate studying. Well, the Anatomy part anyway. It's so hard, and since having children, I have no memory. Currently, I need to remember about 70 Vocabulary words. No Fun. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to work, take care of kids, do all the housework, cook 3 meals a day. Sorry, I'm done venting.

It is so amazing having friends that you feel so comfortable with, that you can talk about anything, and laugh so hard with. Friends that love you no matter what, that are honest, kind, and always there for you! I have so many close friends that I appreciate so much! Love you ladies!
