Trey had his 4th birthday too! We spent it as a family at Hollywood connections! The kids had a blast, and Trey got lots of Thomas stuff, and road the front runner to Ogden.
On another note, my hair is getting long once again. I haven't had it long since I graduated from High School.

Once upon a Time....

There was a girl who was good at blogging.

Then her life got out of control with babysitting, owning a preschool, taking kids to all their activities, cooking, cleaning, laundry, working out, needing sleep.... I think you get it.

This girl did some fun things once.

It may have been a month and a half ago, but still....

Swayzee was a dream on vacation. She is such a happy, easy going baby.

Swayzee loved the water, and took all her naps in the pool. (In my arms.) because the water was the only place to stay cooled off. It was 115 when we were in Indio.

Trey and Mykelle had a blast, and were so awesome!


Mission beach was so fun! We are about to ride the white roller coaster out there!

My first 5K!

It was pretty fun! I averaged a 8 and 1/2 minute mile.

Naomi returned home from Belize, and is living with me. It has been a lot of fun, and is like old times once again. (and for those that dont know, she is going back in January!)

Friends! I have SO much to blog about, but my life is kind of out of control right now.

P.S. I would also like to apologize about the last blog post. All of you guessed correctly, but I guess none of you were as surprised as me to see a little chinese man standing on top of the bigger guy on the bottom. There was quite the crowd watching, and giggling as this guy was standing on top of him. I was a little shocked myself, and wanted to see who could come up with the best story. We were at the Farmers Market in Palm Springs.

Confession

I'm the worst mom ever. I'm so embarrassed about this post.

Yesterday, I left Trey and Mykelle at home with Seth, and went to run errands. I went to Lakeshore, and ran in to grab a few things. After being in the store for a few minutes, I realized I left Swayzee out in the car. (In my head, I was thinking all the kids were at home with their daddy) I panicked, and sprinted outside to find her sleeping sounding in my locked car. I felt like crying, and quickly grabbed her and went back in. Worrying mostly, that people were going to see me bringing her back in, and think I was the worst person ever, and praying in thankfulness for her safety!

Who does that? I felt so terrible.

I can officially NEVER judge another mother again, because I swore I would never do that to my child.

I know, I know. Tell me what a bad mother I am.

Cousins

I love this picture. My sister in laws, with our babies. They are all going to be best buddies. (Hopefully)

We spent Saturday night up at Dawns house, and "camped" out. We had some yummy dutch oven, and smores. We played games, and just enjoyed being with each other. My nieces are pretty dang cute, and our kids love to play with each other! We had a great weekend! Dawn Thanks for cooking for us!

Little Swayzee who is still a tiny little bug! She is such a sweet heart. Oh my goodness, we lover her so much! She is such a good little baby. This is her serious face. Doesn't she look like a mini adult. She has such a good temperament, although she does love to hear her voice when she 'screams' and she sounds like a screeching dino!

Bunko Pink Party

Tiff and Swayz. Yes, Swayz even wore her pink.

It was my turn to host Bunko this month, and I changed it up a little. I had a pink party, and my house was full of pink, and I told all the girls to wear pink. I had pink balloons, pink candy, pink dishes, pink punch, pink flowers, pink decor balls, pink ice cream! You get the picture. Everything I could find pink, I did. I even had pink dice.

I asked the girls if they would be okay playing spoons half way through, and they agreed. We played Pink spoons, and it was a BLAST! I finished the night with pink prizes of course!

Bountiful Baskets Menu

Lettuce, Eggplant, pluots (plum family),corn on the cob (the box is full of 48) pears,carrots, cucumbers,grapes, strawberries, tomatoes and bananas.

Here is what I'll be doing with some of the food I got from my Bountiful Basket on Saturday....

• Strawberry Banana muffins
• Cucumber salad
• Eppplant Parmesan (Recipe Below)
• Corn on the Cob
• Green Salad

(That's all I've got so far. We will be super busy this week, so I don't plan on cooking too much.

I spent this afternoon freezing tons of carrots, peppers, herbs, bananas and corn.)

The corn was a lot of work, but it is so good. Although my friend Mrs. JM says corn has no nutritional value, it sure does taste good, and makes for a colorful dinner plate.

I also have tons of bananas frozen, and a bunch of fresh ones, so I plan on making these.

I ordered 48 heads of Olathe sweet corn, and am freezing it all. I found a good source that explains how to freeze it properly here.

I'm afraid of getting too much food, but am planning on freezing as many of the fruits and veggies that I can for cooking, and for making Swayzee's baby food.

Tonight for dinner, I used up the rest of my red peppers from last week, and made THIS. It was so good! My kids were slipping and slurping their noodles, and wanted more within minutes. Seth really liked it as well, and said it is one of the best pastas I've made. The only thing I did, was add basil, because right now I'm obsessed with that herb.

Thats all.

P.S. I ran my very first EVER! I mean EVER 5 miles this week. At 7:00 in the am, my friend Steph and I celebrated. I also broke a personal record for myself, and last week, I ran 3 miles in 21 minutes. It must have been the banana I ate for breakfast that gave me all the energy. Steph and I have been running together for a few weeks now, and it makes running SO much better. I actually enjoy running with her, and I don't feel tired at all. It actually feels really good. AND, to be honest, I could have kept going. BUT, don't tell Steph that, she might make me run 7 miles this week or something.

I am SO excited about Bountiful Baskets. I got all this produce for $15 Is that a deal or what? I am hooked. I paid $10 for 5 loaves of 9 grain bread, and it is my favorite. ( I forgot to add it to my loves) If you want to find out how you can get all this produce for this great price, go to their website. www.bountifulbaskets.org You have to sign up between Monday and Tuesday night to get it, and the pickups in Utah sell out quick. (Where I live anyway) Check it out!

Saturday's pick up was pretty sweet. Everything was good quality, and the bread is delish!

Here is what I am going to be doing with all this food this week.

Monday: Chicken Salad sandwiches with the celery and grapes.

Tuesday: Rosemary chicken, green salad (made with all the veggies above), and diced peaches

Wednseday: Stuffed Red peppers with sausage and couscous

Thursday: Chicken Divan with the Broccoli

Friday: Carrot and Fennel Soup with home made rolls

Saturday: Enchiladas uhhh...none of the above picture food will be used

Sunday:Roast with LOTS of carrots. lol.

I'll shares some amazing recipes next week, but you have got to check out this Rosemary chicken recipe over at Mynutritiousdish It was so good! I love cooking with rosemary! I have a really good rosemary bread recipe I'll have to share.
